How to add an icon in your MacOS X menu bar (a la System Tray) that will allow you to lock the screen:
/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app
-> Preferences -> General -> Show Status in Menu Bar

 Vienna refused to access a blog on a website that required https: access and had a self-signed certificate.  Here is how I fixed it:

Quit Vienna.
Browse to the site with a fresh instance of Safari such that it pops up a dialog asking you to accept the certificate.
